How To Live Your Best Life
People ask me all the time how I did it. How I cracked the code. How I live my best life while others are "still figuring things out." I usually smile, because the answer is simple, and simplicity intimidates people who overcomplicate failure.
First, wake up early. Not because you have somewhere to be, do it because winners naturally wake up early. If your alarm clock feels aggressive, that’s your mindset resisting success. My alarm doesn’t get the chance to do its job. I rise and silence the alarm before it goes off.
Second, surround yourself with opportunity. I didn't choose to be born near wealth, connections, and safety nets; I manifested it through discipline and a can-do attitude. If you weren't born into advantage, ask yourself why your parents didn't grind harder. Accountability matters. Some will say that pointing fingers is not healthy, but if it makes you feel better... do it.
Third, work smart. You've heard this before, but most people misunderstand it. Working smart means knowing when to delegate, inherit, or "fall into" the right situations. I never chased money. Money noticed me standing there and approached respectfully.
Fourth, ignore the haters. Critics love to say things like "must be nice" or "anyone could do that with your resources." These are the words of people who confuse fairness with effort. Life isn’t unfair so much as it’s selective. Be selectable.
Fifth, invest early. I don't mean stocks or bonds. I mean confidence. Confidence compounds faster than interest or dividends. Walk into every room like you own the building, even if your name is already on the deed.
Finally, remember this: success isn't luck. Luck is just preparation meeting circumstances you totally earned somehow. I didn't get handed anything. I simply accepted what was offered with grace, humility, and a legally binding signature.
If you're struggling, don't give up. Just do better. Adjust your mindset. Upgrade your environment. Choose richer parents next time.
Living your best life isn't hard. The only thing getting in your way is YOU.
